Take action to reunite refugee families

"The UK government is deliberately keeping refugee families apart."

The Chipping Norton Amnesty Group supports CRAG, the Charlbury Refugee Action Group, in lobbying for refugee families to be reunited. CRAG has written an open letter to all Oxfordshire Members of Parliament to do everything within their power to ensure that refugee children stranded in Europe are able to join relatives in the UK: download the attached file. We urge you to add your voice by writing to your MP.

Also please add your name to the petition on this Amnesty UK website (see www.amnesty.org.uk/familiestogether).

More about our partner CRAG: Founded in 2015 by two Charlbury residents the Charlbury Refugee Action Group raises funds to support refugees and asylum seekers, especially in France and Greece. To date some £50,000 has been raised, principally through a wonderful series of Sunday tea concerts: the next concert is on 16th February (see https://www.charlbury.info/events/6705).

CRAG also raises awareness of refugee issues and as part of this will host a discussion evening on the 7th February entitled ‘Climate Emergency and Migration’ – see https://www.charlbury.info/events/6882
