Saudi Arabia - an update
You may feel cheered by the recent court finding that UK's sales of arms to Saudi Arabia are deemed to be unlawful. However we must not lose sight of the fact that Saudi Arabia's continued abuse of Human Rights is impacting on many ordinary citizens as they try to live out their lives from day to day.
Last year Amnesty's International Secretariat produced a report and strategy document on Saudi Arabia which is summarised - and can be downloaded - at https://www.amnesty.org/en/countries/middle-east-and-north-africa/saudi-arabia/report-saudi-arabia/.
We are please to announce that Paul Dawson, AIUK's Country Co-ordinator for Saudi Arabia, will be speaking to us at our July meeting and bringing us up to date information on the current situation in Saudi Arabia.
Do join us at 7:30 on Thursday 11th July in Chipping Norton's Lower Town Hall for an update. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions. For further information contact Val on 01608 645036.
