🎄 Christmas in Chippy 🎄
This Sunday, 9th December, find us and our stall in the Co-op arcade for Chipping Norton's "Christmas in Chippy" event, featuring "shopping, food and festive cheer"! Please do come and introduce yourself. We'll be selling Amnesty Christmas Cards and hoping our scrumptious raffle prizes will tempt you to buy some tickets. All proceeds go towards supporting the work of Amnesty International.
Alas there is no Christmas Amnesty for Prisoners of Conscience and Human Rights Defenders, and so our work continues. We have cards with messages of support for you to sign and, in the light of the continuing crisis in Yemen, we are collecting signatures to a petition to Liam Fox demanding that the UK stop arming Saudi Arabia.
In December we do not have a formal business meeting and so we take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the past year and to invite you to continue to support Amnesty and to help promote universal human rights during 2019.
Our next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday 10th January in Chipping Norton's Lower Town Hall. Do come and join us and help us to plan our 2019 programme; ideas for speakers and events gratefully received! For further information, talk to any of our stallholders on Sunday, or phone Val on 01608-645036.
