Human Rights in Iran - a Zoom talk on 8 October
On Thursday 8 October Oscar Jenz will gave a Zoom talk on Human Rights in Iran.
Iran regularly makes headlines for its volatile human rights record, most prominently when it comes to the use of the death penalty and the arrests of British-Iranian dual citizens such as Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe. However, the headlines offer only a very narrow glimpse into what the human rights situation in Iran actually looks like.
Oscar Jenz, Amnesty UK's Country Coordinator for Iran, will give an overview of the human rights situation in Iran, highlight the work of prominent Iranian human rights defenders, and outline what you can do to support Iranian human rights defenders in their tireless work for justice and accountability.
There will be time for questions after the talk so we look forward to you joining us on Thursday 8 October at 7.30pm.
