Newsletter for November 2012 including Monthly Letter

The newsletter includes:

  • Our monthly letter - to the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh inIndia about the human rights activist Kartam Joga who has helped record over 500 extrajudicial killings, and is currently on remand for charges that are believed to be politically motivated.  Please download the letter below then address, sign and post the letter (it will cost 87p to post)
  • Our annual film night on Friday 23 November and the film this year will be The Corporation - see the previous blog post for more details
  • Amnesty's online petition calling for the Russian Government to release the members of the punk Pussy Riot who were sentenced to two years in jail for protesting against the current regime.
  • Our 2013 meeting dates the first meetings of 2013 will be on 8 January and 12 February at 7.30pm

The final meeting of 2012 on Tuesday 11 December at 7.30pm will be the Greeting Cards Campaign.  Come and send a message of hope this christmas to a prisoner of conscience and munch on a mince pie at the same time!
