The coronavirus is a human rights crisis in the most immediate sense. Now is the time to unite and fight for humanity.

Your gift could help ensure the new law protects all of us, not just some of us.

Why we are asking for support during this time

Amnesty International UK depends on the generosity of our supporters to fund our ongoing fight for human rights. Our usual work must continue, and we must now also ensure emergency laws protect the most vulnerable.

The COVID-19 pandemic is a human rights crisis in the most immediate sense. Over the coming weeks and months our experts will be scrutinising legislation for how it impacts your rights and lobbying MPs and government to make sure vulnerable people are protected.

We’ve already successfully pushed for the government’s emergency powers to be reviewed by Parliament every six months. This means they can’t remain law for two years without further scrutiny.

But we can’t stop there. And to do this work, we’ll need your help.

All donations go to support Amnesty International UK Section Charitable Trust.
