We are delighted to be establishing ourselves as part of the vibrant St. Benedicts Street community. The shop is light, spacious and perfect for browsing. Expect to find a warm and friendly welcome, fantastic second-hand books, and relaxed seating areas to meet with friends. If you are looking to meet new people and learn new skills, you might also consider joining our team as a volunteer. There are shop floor and back-office roles available, including till work, online listings, pricing and stock control - something for everyone and no experience necessary. If you’d like to find out more click herewe’d love to hear from you.

Opening hours:

Monday – Saturday: 10am to 5pm

Sunday: 11am – 3pm

We receive regular donations of both new and second-hand books, keeping our shelves constantly changing with exciting new and some not-so-new (and a few rare) titles! We have an eclectic mix of non-fiction both old and current, including a creative writing section, as well as an impressive history and political selection. If it's something less taxing you want, our bays of contemporary fiction are bursting with titles sure to please your taste.

We also have a fabulous range of cards and ethically sourced gifts.

We offer workspace, with plug sockets and free-to-use charging points, where you can study, read or just meet with friends. We even encourage you to bring your own drink and stay for a while!

If you’d like to volunteer with us click here, and if you’re thinking of donating to us, please refer to the donation section below.
