The Amnesty International United Kingdom Section Board has 12 elected members who each serve voluntarily for three consecutive years and are then eligible for re-election for another three years. The Board oversees the running of AIUK, including finances, human resources, campaigning work, and ensuring that we meet our international obligations.

An election will be held for five places on the Board of Amnesty International United Kingdom Section for 2021-2024. The following are the skills we are particularly seeking in new Board members in the 2021 elections:

  1. Finance
  2. Risk identification and management
  3. Human resources
  4. Campaigning

The Board always welcomes candidates with experience of Amnesty activism, especially those who will contribute to our diversity.
You can submit your nomination electronically without the need to print any documents. We will also accept a valid email address in the place of signatures (wherever requested) in order to authenticate your nomination.
If you would like to discuss standing for the Board, the Nominations Sub-Committee will be happy to talk to you – get in touch by email on nomcom@amnesty.org.uk to arrange an informal telephone discussion.
