Amnesty International UK
Dear supporter,

I've sent you this email because I support the work of Amnesty International.

I'm part of a movement of over 2 million people around the world who help to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

And I'm proud to be involved

You may have seen Amnesty in the news recently. They successfully campaigned for the UK Government to sign a European Convention against Trafficking earlier this year which will help protect victims of modern day slavery.

Right now, they're trying to protect civilians in the civil war raging in Darfur, Western Sudan and calling on the US government to close the Guantanàmo Bay detention centre.

Now it's your turn.

Amnesty are aiming to get a 1 million people in the UK standing up for human rights and I want to help them achieve this.

For 45 years, thousands of innocent people have been helped by Amnesty International. People like Rehab Abdel Bagi Mohamed Ali, an X-ray technician from Sudan, who was wrongly arrested:

"I was beaten and verbally abused. After a few days, the guards asked me: 'do you know that your name is all over the internet?' After that, I was treated better by the guards before being released. The appeals sent by Amnesty members definitely had an effect on my case."

To join me as an Amnesty International supporter simply visit www.amnesty.org.uk/joinnow. It will take you just two minutes and you'll be standing up for human rights every day.

Thank you for your support.
