Safety of PSNI tasers questioned as death toll hits 334
Tasers are inherently open to abuse and are not as safe as the industry would
suggest. The deployment of tasers in Northern Ireland should be strictly limit
to life-threatening situations and to a small number of specialist PSNI officers
who receive rigorous training. 334 people have died in the US after being shot
by a Taser since 2001.

Belfast will be live-linked to the Convention on Modern Liberty taking place
in London. The convention will feature speakers from across the political spectrum
and discuss the crisis of fundamental rights and freedoms' and modern liberty
and human rights in Northern Ireland, nationally or internationally.

marks an important step towards Northern Ireland achieving it's own Bill of Rights.
The UK government must now move quickly to consult fully with the people of Northern

An Amnesty poll, on attitudes to violence against women, shows that 46 percent
of Northern Ireland university students believe women are partially or totally
responsible for being raped if they behaved in a flirtatious manner.
We produce a bi-annual newsletter containing the latest news, campaigns and ways
