Bosco Ntaganda 'hands himself in' at US Embassy in Rwanda - Amnesty experts available for interview

Amid reports Bosco Ntaganda, leader of a notorious armed group the M23 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, has handed himself over to the US Embassy in Rwanda, Amnesty International has experts available to discuss some of the allegations against him.

The International Criminal Court issued a warrant for Ntaganda's arrest citing war crimes charges of conscripting child soldiers, murder, ethnic persecution and rape in eastern DR Congo in 2006.

Despite this warrant, Ntaganda was integrated into the Congolese national army in 2009.

Amnesty has consistently reported on human rights abuses allegedly carried out by Ntaganda.
