MUVUNYI: QUEST FOR JUSTICE OVER RWANDA GENOCIDE MUST GO ON

Mark Lattimer, Amnesty International UK Communications Director said:

"The transfer of Mr Muvunyi to the tribunal in Arusha offers a chance to thoroughly investigate obscene crimes committed during the Rwanda genocide.

"The UK authorities should be congratulated for co-operating with the international criminal tribunal in Tanzania.

"The UK authorities should however remain vigilant and ready to act quickly in similar future situations."
