JAMAICA: Amnesty International`s observation of the Braeton inquest

Posted: 26 February 2002

Ivor Frank has been mandated by the organisation to observe the proceedings on its behalf. He is reporting to the organisation alone and is not authorised to communicate his observations on the proceedings to any other body. The Order of Mission making this clear was submitted to the court on Friday, 22 February 2002. Ivor Frank's observation of the Coroner's court proceedings is conducted independently of any other organisations currently campaigning on human rights issues.

Ivor Frank has practised at the bar of England and Wales, in criminal and civil matters, for over twenty years and is a member of the Bar Committee for Human Rights of England and Wales. He qualified at University College London, the Inns of Court School of Law and Georgetown University, Washington DC.
