Death penalty: China challenged to end executions secrecy
Amnesty International has today challenged China to reveal how many people it executes, as the organisation published a new report on the global use of capital punishment. The report, Amnestys annual survey of the death penalty worldwide, showed that at least 714 people were executed in 18 countries last year, but its likely that there were thousands of executions in China alone.
