UK: Forcible return to Iraq would be unlawful
Amnesty International is deeply concerned about the UK government's plan to forcibly return scores of rejected Iraqi asylum-seekers to Kurdish areas in Iraq which the organization considers are neither stable nor safe. The authorities are yet to set a date for the return, but there is increasing speculation that the deportations are imminent. Many rejected Iraqi asylum-seekers have already been detained. Iran: Two teenagers face execution in defiance of international law
Amnesty International is calling on the Iranian authorities to prevent the execution of two teenagers in Iran sentenced to death in defiance of the international ban on executing child offenders.
