We are horrified by the ongoing crisis for civilians in Gaza, the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and Israel. Amnesty International is issuing an urgent call for an immediate ceasefire by all parties in the occupied Gaza Strip and Israel.

All parties must protect civilians and strictly adhere to international humanitarian law and all violations of international law must be urgently investigated by the International Criminal Court.

The root causes - including the Israeli authorities system of apartheid against Palestinians and decades of impunity - must be fully addressed
