March 2024 meeting

We will be meeting at Trinity Church in Woking at 7:30 pm on Monday 4th March as normal and also online via Teams. Please email us if you need the Teams link.

The topic of Monday's meeting was meant to be Iran, however, we haven't been able to secure a speaker (yet) as Amnesty UK are in the process of hiring a Country Coordinator so instead we will be signing a letter.  In addition, co-chair Keitth is seeing about the possibility of inviting someone he knows into the meeting to talk about Pakistan.  Either way, we shall be signing letters as is one of our main goals for Woking.  As April's topic was meant to be Quiz planning, perhaps we could use that meeting to discuss Iran.  I shall also bring a letter to sign for either Jimmy Lai (China) or Nevalny (Russia). 

Other topics to discuss are:

• the Quiz Night on the 20 April (promotion - flyers, newspaper article, etc), 

• update on China session and Quiz event both attended by me and run by Runnymede Amnesty, 

• I have some material on how to grow our group from Thea Ionnou (Activist Coordinator) which might throw up some interesting ideas,
