Happy new year to you all. Hope you had a relaxing break with those closest.
Just to confirm that we will be meeting at Trinity Church as per normal next Monday, 8th January at 7:30pm.
This is our annual planning session where we will discuss and agree dates for our main events during the year. For new comers to the group, the types of activities that are likely to be on the agenda so far:

Attendance at our regional AI Activist group meeting on Saturday 27th January 2024, from 10am to 3pm, The Maybury Centre, Board School Road, Woking.

Annual Collection Day (we stand in various locations each with a collection tin for Amnesty)

Fund-raising event (quiz night or barn dance or band, etc)

Attendance at AI UK AGM (either virtual or face to face on 22 June 2024) - need resolutions in by 23 Feb - https://www.amnesty.org.uk/annual-general-meeting

Write for Rights stall - Woking (normally around beginning of December)
- Topics for key Speakers at our local monthly meeting.
In addition, for those that are able, we will bring letters for the group to sign which are usually focusing on individuals at risk or situations like Gaza/Ukraine, etc where governments continue to act unlawfully.
