Flying a flag for refugees

Preparing to raise the Refugee Flag

On a wet and windless morning members of Chippy Amnesty joined with representatives of Asylum Welcome, the Charlbury Refugee Action Group, Chipping Norton Town Council and the Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire to raise the Refugee Flag on Chippy's flagpole in the Millennium Garden.  The flag is flying for World Refugee Day.

Chippy Amnesty is pleased to welcome refugees to our town and to support all those who are providing practical support to these new members of our communities.
