May 2023 newsletter now available

Here's a bumper newsletter for May, following the Group AGM on 25/04/2023 and the re-election of your Group committee.

There are a good number of local and online events coming up of interest to anyone interested in human rights issues generally, including events being organised by friends of Amnesty.  

We also sadly have a new set of actions relating to the terrible human rights situation in Egypt, and an Urgent Action for Salma al-Shehab, a Saudi activist and academic - reminding us that the idea of "Urgent Actions", and the first ever Urgent Action was created and sent out 50 years ago, in March 1973!
