Latest news: Amnesty wins Silver Flora Award!

2007 was a Chelsea Flower Show first for Amnesty. Visitors to the show found a special welcome at our Garden for Human Rights - later to become the roof garden at our international HQ in London.

The design won us the opportunity to appear at Chelsea - a much loved annual institution. Our garden design beat 3,000 other applicants to win a place as a 'show garden'. We viewed Chelsea as a unique opportunity to tell more people about Amnesty International and to encourage them to join us in standing up for humanity and human rights.

The garden, designed by Paula Ryan and Artillery Architecture & Interior Design, featured a sculpture of the iconic Amnesty candle created by chain saw artist Walter Bailey.
