Manchester screening: They call it Myanmar

Date: Fri 19 July 2013

Join Manchester Amnesty for an evening of Burma-focussed film and conversation.

We'll screen feature documentary They Call It Myanmar. Shot clandestinely over a two-year period by Robert H. Lieberman, the film provides a rare look at the second-most isolated country on the planet.

This unique feature length documentary is an impressionistic journey. Interviews and interactions with more than a hundred people throughout Burma, including an interview with the recently released Aung San Suu Kyi, are interwoven with spectacular footage of this little seen nation and its people.
