Discrimination, Displacement and Despair: The impact of Israel's prolonged occupation
Date: Tue 16 October 2012

Discussion and Q&A with Itay Epshtain, Co-Director of Israeli Committee against House Demolitions (ICAHD)
Israel’s 45 years of occupation has seen more than 27,000 Palestinian structures demolished in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza and the displacement of more than 160,000 Palestinians. Meanwhile more than 600,000 Israelis have settled in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Has Israel’s ‘prolonged occupation been a self-serving concept devised by Israel to expand its freedom of action in the Occupied Palestinian Territory while diminishing its responsibility toward the Palestinian inhabitants?
Itay Epshtain will discuss these issues and join us for a Q&A afterwards.
