Award-winning film 'China Blue' plus discussion

Labour behind the label and partners, including Amnesty International, present a screening of the award-winning film China Blue (USA 2005, Dir. Micha X Pelid, 86min). A unique and intimate portrayal of the lives of a group of migrant workers inside and outside a Chinese garment factory, China Blue won the IDFA Amnesty Human Rights Award and was in the official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with activists from prominent Chinese labour rights groups, including:
- Vikki Chan - Labour Action China
- Jenny Chan - Students and Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour
- Lai Ha Cheung - Hong Kong Garment Workers' Federation
- Patrick Poon - China Labour Bulletin
