The programme of Amnesty regional conferences provides your chance to find out more about the movement, and get involved. This includes information on our campaigns and how you can take action, learning and sharing skills, knowledge and creative ideas, the chance to contribute to major policy discussions affecting the movement as well as the opportunity to meet other members from your region.
The conference will include creative campaigning on Individual at Risk and guest speaker Gill Cleverley. We will also have Craig Murray, as Britain's outspoken Ambassador to the Central Asian Republic of Uzbekistan 2002-2004, talking at the conference. Craig Murray helped expose vicious human rights abuses by the US-funded regime of Islam Karimov. He is now a writer and broadcaster and a prominent critic of Western policy in the region.
