Essential Training for Lead Activists

Essential training for lead activists
© Amnesty International

If you are a lead activist, AIUK requires that you participate in certain essential training for your role. There are currently three pieces of essential training, which you can read more about below.

You will need an Amnesty UK email address or to have been invited by Amnesty UK to take this course to be able to access this training.

If you require the training for your role, you will have been invited to access our internal learning platform where you can access this. If you do not have an invite to this training and believe you should, please contact activism@amnesty.org.uk

Safeguarding Training

To make sure you’re working with young people, children and vulnerable adults in a safe way please take this training from the NSPCC. It will guide you through things to look out for and how to take action if you have concerns.

Data Protection Training

Protect your data, protect your rights! Learn why it is essential to have a number of protections in place when working with the data of other activists, donors or partners.

Training on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access

This introductory learning session will look at the core principles of equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism. Learners will explore the contemporary language of inclusion, gain a greater understanding of individual privilege and the impact it has on their roles, as well take part in constructive conversations on what anti-racism means for AIUK.
