Secondhand books and sales

Books for Amnesty is a small chain of well-stocked secondhand bookshops. Through the sale of donated books we raise money for Amnesty as well as generating awareness of Amnesty's work and campaigns.

Our entire stock is made up of donations generously given to us by the public, and the shop is staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers.

Donations

Donations in good, saleable condition are always welcome. We take every care to make the best use of your books. We get the best possible price for rare or valuable books by selling them on the internet, at book fairs or through specialist dealers.

Please deliver your books to the shop during opening hours. If this is not convenient, contact the shop to discuss an alternative arrangement. Unfortunately we are unable to accept donations of magazines, or encyclopaedias, except by special arrangement.
