Give in memory

nullGiving in memory is a wonderful way to remember a loved one and help Amnesty change the future.

Many Amnesty supporters choose to make or request a gift in memory in lieu of giving flowers at a funeral. If you would like to commemorate a loved one and contribute to Amnesty's work, there are a number of ways in which you can do this.

You can make your donation by post, via our website or over the phone. If you are organising a funeral for a loved one, we can provide giftaid Amnesty donation envelopes for you to distribute at the ceremony.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on giving in memory or to order giftaid Amnesty donation envelopes.

Why give in memory

'I just picture myself, friends and family receiving the abhorrent treatment that so many people do. How can anyone stand by? In fact forget my friends and family - I feel just as outraged for a stranger. Bullying and torture is vile.'

                              - Dr Anthony Lempert has pledged a gift to Amnesty in his will

Request to be remembered through a donation

Planning a funeral in advance is not an easy matter but recording your personal wishes can give you and your loved ones peace of mind.

To request that donations are made to Amnesty International in lieu of flowers, simply download the card below and attach it to your will. It will help your executor and next of kin to ensure your personal wishes are honoured.

After we receive your donation

We will gratefully acknowledge your in memory donation with a letter of thanks.

We also send a personal letter of sympathy to the next of kin, to let them know that we have received a donation from you. Please be assured that amounts of individual gifts are never disclosed.

When you give in memory, there is the option for you to leave a message in tribute to the deceased, which we will feature on our remembrance wall. If you would like to submit a message for our remembrance wall, please contact our supporter care team with your message and details. Read messages of remembrance
