An achievable challenge
All abilities welcome!
This is a great event to stretch your cycling skills and take on a challenge if you've not done a longer ride before, or want to get back into cycling. It's also a chance for accomplished cyclists to train for bigger events, or improve on a personal best.If you've not cycled a distance this long before, we recommend you work up to the 54 miles with a few rides over 30 miles before the big day.
Get your mates involved
Why not get a group of friends or work-mates together and train together on some shorter runs? You're also more than welcome to enter on your own - this event encourages a real team spirit, and our events reps will support you all the way, through training, fundraising, and meeting you at the finish line in Brighton!
Sign up as a team (each of you will need to register separately)
Find out what it's like to take part"I thought I'd be the only nervous novice but there were people of all ages and abilities - racers pushing for a personal best but also everyday riders like me" Anna from our Events Team cycled this event last year. Though not a 'serious' cyclist, Anna still managed to take on the hills of the South Downs and smash her fundraising target. Get a flavour of what you'll experience: read Anna's blog |
What happens on the day
We'll set off from Clapham Common park in South London between 6.30am and 9.00am on Sunday 8 September.
There'll be support on the day for you and your bike, with a first aid team and mechanics to help you out if you need a hand with punctures.
We'll provide lunch at the half-way point and our events team will be there to greet you when you get to Brighton beach.
Registration fee
Your £35 registration fee covers lunch, support crew on the day and an Amnesty t-shirt. Please note it does not pay for transport to the start of the event or to take you home at the end of the day - you will have to arrange this yourself.
