Secret Policeman's Ball prize draw terms and conditions
- The following terms and conditions ("these Terms") apply to 'The Secret Policeman's Ball Prize Draw' ("Prize Draw"). If you wish to enter the Prize Draw, please print off these Terms or save them for future reference. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you cannot enter the Prize Draw.
- The Prize Draw is operated by Amnesty Freestyle Ltd ('Promoter'). This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You understand that you will be providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. By entering the Prize Draw you agree to release Facebook completely from all liability relating to the Prize Draw. Any question, comments or complaints regarding the Prize Draw should be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook.
- Entrants must also comply with the Facebook terms and conditions, a copy of which may be found at www.facebook.com/promotions_guidelines.php
- The Prize Draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom, the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia aged 18 or over. U.S residents, see official U.S. Rules here. If you are a UK resident, these UK Terms will apply.
- Employees of the Promoter, its associated companies and families of the above are not eligible for the Prize Draw.
- No sum is charged for entry to the Prize Draw or in connection with any prize (except normal costs of internet access, telecommunications and telecommunications equipment).
- To enter the Prize Draw you must register on the Facebook Prize Draw page at www.facebook.com/secretpoliceman and provide your full name, email address and phone number. Alternatively, you download and print off an entry from here (PDF), fill in the required details, and submit your entry by first class post to The Secret Policeman's Ball Prize Draw, Amnesty International, 17-25 New Inn Yard, London EC2A 3EA.
- The period of the Prize Draw is from Wednesday 29th February 2012 to Monday 5th March 2012, inclusive of both dates, London time (online from 10:00 to 17:00 on the relevant dates). All entries must be received within the Prize Draw period.
- Prize winners will be chosen at random from eligible entrants. Winners will be notified by email and phone within 7 days of the closing date. Names of winners will also be published at www.facebook.com/secretpoliceman.
- Use of a false name or address, including a name by which the entrant is not usually known, will disqualify them from receiving a prize.
- Only one entry may be made by any person. The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits multiple entries is prohibited. If the Promoter considers that any such means have been used, the entries will be discounted.
- Details of the Prizes are as shown in our description of the Prize Draw at www.facebook.com/secretpoliceman. The Prizes include 10 copies of the Chimes of Freedom CD boxset.
- In the absence of negligence on the part of the Promoter, you will have no claim for any loss arising as a result of any circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter, or for any unforeseen losses or any business losses in connection with the Prize Draw.
- Only one winning prize may be taken per person.
- There is no cash alternative and prizes are not transferable.
- The Promoter's decision as to qualifying entrants is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Winners may be required to take part in or co-operate with publicity.
- We will use the personal details you provide to notify you if you win, and may require you to provide further details to make prize arrangements. We will not use your details for any other reason without your consent, unless we are required or permitted to do by law. We will offer you (whether you win or not) the opportunity to receive notifications of future competitions and/or products that may be of interest to you. You have the right not to receive such notifications at any time.
- The details you provide in connection with the Prize Draw will be transferred to and processed in the USA, where privacy laws may not provide the same level of protection as in the United Kingdom. By submitting your request you consent to such transfer and processing.
- These Terms are governed by English law. If any disagreement arises out of them or the Prize Draw that cannot be amicably resolved, and you wish to take court proceedings, you must do so within the United Kingdom.
