Lobbying at a local level
You can influence the UK's human rights political agenda and campaign for effective Parliamentary action against international human rights abuses by lobbying your Member of Parliament (MP) and Member of European Parliament (MEP).
For ideas and advice, see our guide: How to... lobby your MP (PDF)
Your MP and MEP are your elected representatives, so as a constituent your opinion is powerful, even if they disagree with you. You'll find politicians give high priority to constituent requests and are very aware of local publicity. Whenever you are lobbying don't forget how important you are to them!
