Raise-Off 2010

The contenders of the Youth Raise-Off 2010 surpassed all our expectations and choosing the winners was really tough.

Together youth groups who registered for last year's Raise-Off raised an incredible £36,404 (almost triple the amount raised during the year before) so thank you so much for your dedication.  

Here are the official winners of the 4 categories:

Amnesty balloons

Best fundraisers: Merchant Taylor's School, Middlesex
This school wins in this category for the second year running. They raised an incredible £4,020 through their sponsored swim, disco, triathalon, charity dinner and house breakfast.
With special mentions to runners-up Stewarton Academy, Kelso High School and Bedales School.

Amnesty balloons Most regular fundraisers: Stewarton Academy
Stewarton have worked hard for this prize. They have organised 10 events over this academic year, raising an amazing £2,891.00.
With a special mention to Dr Challoner's School for organising six events.

Amnesty balloons Best fundraising event: Ashford Senior School
Ashford took this prize for their fantastic Dare to be Different Day.
With special mention to Queen Elizabeth High School, Gainsborough for their Human Rights Treasure Hunt and to Lancaster Girls' Grammar School for their Amnesty Arts evening. All events were creative and imaginative and linked successfully to Amnesty's work all whilst raising money for our work.

Hannah McKellar and Katrina Kilkenny at Lady Eleanor Holles School, Middlesex for being the masterminds behind the events the school organised as part of the Raise-Off. These included the Secret Policeman's Ball, a booksale and a charity walk. Great work!
