Planning your fundraising

On this page you'll find everything you need to make your event a resounding sucess. We've event suggestions if you're feeling a bit stuck, and some tips to make sure it goes with a bang! You can also find more info, advice and helpsheets on organising an event and other fundraising ideas

This month's top fundraising tip

"The Easter Holidays are only a matter of weeks away, so why not celebrate the end of term with a themed fundraising party at your house or student union for Amnesty? You could charge for entry and organise competitions to be held on the evening, and ask the bar to donate some of the proceeds from drink sales. We have 50th birthday themed materials available too. "

5 Easy Fundraising Ideas


1:  Have an AmnesTea

2:  Throw a party

3:  Hold a collection on campus - you could get dressed up to attract the attention of passers-by, or sit in a cage to highlight Amnesty's work. Don't forget to get permission from your university to hold a collection.

4:  Organise a sponsored event - from sponsored leg waxing to sponsored runs. Anything goes!

5:  Collect old mobile phones
