Raise-Off 2008
Congratulations to the University of Cambridge Amnesty Society, the resounding winners of Raise-Off 2008!
The Cambridge students raised nearly the double the ammount of any other group with 'Orange Wednesday' - a sponsored jumpsuit-clad protest against Guantanamo Bay that gained national press coverage, and a 'Happy Birthday Guantanamo Bay' clubnight. Their whopping total was £3000 raised for Amnesty.
The group were presented with the inaugural Raise-Off trophy at a special ceremony at Amnesty's 2008 AGM, and also won four free tickets to The Big Chill.
