2008 marked 60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
This groundbreaking document, first adopted by the world's governments in 1948, upholds and protects our rights to freedom, dignity, respect and equality for everyone, everywhere.

This is a time to celebrate. It is also a time to challenge world governments who have failed to live up to the promises they made in 1948.
