Speakers for schools
Over 120 volunteers represent Amnesty by introducing young people in schools, universities and educational settings across the UK to human rights and our work.
These enthusiastic and knowledgeable speakers inspire young people, leading them to set up Amnesty youth groups, and introducing teachers to human rights education.
Amnesty speakers recently ran a series of workshops at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, based on We Are All Born Free, the illustrated children's book of human rights. Gruffalo illustrator Axel Sheffler (right) joined us at the workshop based on his illustration of Article 27, which we brought to life as a shadow puppet theatre.
