Get involved

You can get involved with Amnesty Northern Ireland in a number of ways.  You can:

Local groups

Image of a local group eventLocal groups are vital to the work of Amnesty. There are 13 local Amnesty groups in Northern Ireland; they usually meet once a month. By joining your local group you could be involved in:

  • Raising awareness about human rights in their local areas
  • Organising events and stalls
  • Fundraising
  • Getting into their local press and radio
  • Lobbying their MPs and MEPs
  • Writing letters to Prisoners of Conscience and the people responsible for their detention
  • Supporting Amnesty in our global campaigns

Whether you're an old hand at grass roots campaigning, or you've never done anything like this at all, you'll enjoy meeting like-minded people and really making a difference.
