Human Rights Action Centre

Human Rights Watch Action Centre exteriorThe Human Rights Action Centre is a focal point for Amnesty supporters and the wider human rights community.

As well as office space for staff and volunteers, the centre has public spaces available for hire by organisations working in the fields of human rights and social justice. It is an inspirational, practical and affordable space for people to come together to learn about, debate and campaign on human rights issues.

AccessibilityThe building is fully accessible to wheelchair users. We have a hearing loop in the auditorium and the Sigrid Rausing Seminar Room.

Human Rights Watch Action Centre foyerThe use of all AV equipment is included in the cost of hiring the rooms. This cost does not include technical support during your event. Our technical support team will discuss your requirements on receipt of your booking form. They will be happy to set up and test the equipment and show you how to use it prior to your event.

When booking the auditorium, please allow two to four hours before the start of your event for equipment set up, rehearsals and sound checks. Presentations can be on memory stick or CD. If you wish to record or film your event, please check with us first. We need to have details of your technical requirements a minimum of two weeks prior to your event.

  • Assistance with photocopying or printing documents is available at a small extra charge
  • For meetings of 50 people or more, we ask you to register attendees and will provide a space for this purpose in our reception area
  • For meetings of less than 50 people, please provide a delegate list the day before your event

Catering

SaladWe have a preferred caterer who is able to provide refreshments ranging from sandwich lunches to buffets. Full menus and catering costs on request. Food cannot be served in the seminar room, you will need to book meeting room Action Room 1 or Garfield Weston Action Room for lunch and refreshments.
