How we are structured and governed
Amnesty International UK is one of over 50 nationally organised sections that make up Amnesty International worldwide membership organisation.
We have more than 260,000 financial supporters in the UK, working together to improve human rights worldwide. We have offices in London, Belfast, and Edinburgh and around 130 staff and 65 volunteers.

Amnesty International UK is divided into two legal entities, each with their own constitution.

Elections for the 2014-17 Board - change to timetableOur Board is made up of 12 elected members, who each serve voluntarily for three consecutive years. The process for the election of members to serve 2014-17 is going to work to a slightly different timetable to previous years with some key changes:
