A partial list of detained after expressing support for #HK Democracy 24 November

Activists  in China have been detained for  expressing support for the Hong Kong pro-democracy protests.

In total, 101 people have been detained since the Hong Kong protests began on 26 September. 50 remain in detention as of 23 November 2014, among them, 14 are formally arrested. All those detained solely for exercising their right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly must be immediately and unconditionally released.

Individuals detained

1. Jiang Liuyong (姜流勇), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 6 November 2014, currently detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

2. Li Dongmei (李冬梅), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 6 November 2014, currently detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

3. Guo Zhiying (郭志英), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 1 November 2014. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

4. Chen Lianhe (陈连和), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 1 November 2014. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

5. Wu Xiaoping (吴小平), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 1 November 2014. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

6. Han Suqing (韩淑清), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 1 November 2014. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

7. Cui Baodi (崔宝第), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 1 November 2014. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

8. Zhang Zhonggang (张宗钢), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 1 October 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 1 November 2014. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

9. Liu Huizhen (刘惠珍), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 1 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 6 November 2014, currently detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests. 

10. Han Ying (韩颖), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on1 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 6 November 2014, currently detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

11. Wang Chongxi (王崇喜), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 2 October 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

12. Xu Chongyang (徐崇阳), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 2 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 6 November 2014, currently detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

13. Zhang Huiyin (张会银), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 9 October 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail. Took part in the dinner on 29 September holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests.

14. Wang Zang (王藏), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 1 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors, currently detained at Tongzhou Detention Centre in Beijing. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

15. Zhang Miao (张淼), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 2 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

16. Cui Guangxia (崔广厦), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 2 October 2014 at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Released on bail on 9 November 2014. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

17. Zhu Yanguang (朱雁光), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 2 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

18. Fei Xiaosheng (费晓胜), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 2 October 2014 at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Released on bail on 9 November 2014. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

19. Ren Chongyuan (任重远), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 2 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

20. Ding Ding (Ding Weibing) (丁酊[丁伟兵]), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 6 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

21. Wang Lin (王琳), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 2 October 2014 at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing. Released on bail on 30 October.

22. Zhui Hun (追魂), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 8 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors, currently detained at Tongzhou Detention Centre in Beijing. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

23. Lü Shang (吕上), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 8 October 2014 at Tongzhou Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 9 November 2014. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

24. Li Lei (李磊), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 8 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

25. Chen Cheng (陈酲), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 10 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

26. Kuang Laowu (邝⽼五), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 11 October 2014 at Tongzhou Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

27. Zhang Haiying (张海鹰), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 11 October 2014 at Tongzhou Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 9 November 2014. Part of the Songzhuang artists’ community in Beijing.

28. Ling Lisha (Shilin) (凌丽莎[诗霖]), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 2 October 2014 for posting slogans to support the Hong Kong protests, currently detained at Haidian Detention Centre in Beijing.

29. Zhang Qibin (张启斌), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 2 October 2014 for posting slogans to support the Hong Kong protests, currently detained at Haidian Detention Centre in Beijing.

30. Chen Kun (陈堃), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 5 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre.

31. Huang Kaiping (黄凯平), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 9 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre.

32. Guo Yushan (郭⽟闪), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 9 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre.

33. Kou Yanding (寇延丁), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 9 October 2014, currently detained at Beijing No. 1 Detention Centre.

34. Pei Fugui (裴富贵), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 1 October 2014 at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail. Took part in holding placards with slogan to support the Hong Kong protests at Lu Village.

35. Ran Chongbi (冉崇碧), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 1 October 2014, currently detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards with slogan to support the Hong Kong protests at Beijing south station.

36. Li Yufeng (李⽟凤), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 6 November, currently detained at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

37. Wu Jixin (吴继新), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September. Released on bail on 1 November 2014.

38. Jiang Jiawen (姜家⽂), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 1 October 2014, currently detained at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

39. Guo Hongwei (郭洪伟), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 1 October 2014 at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

40. Hou Minling (侯敏玲), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 2 October 2014 at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

41. Wang Su’e (王素娥), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 3 October 2014 at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on 11 November. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

42. Zhu Yachun (朱雅春), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 11 October 2014 at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 18 November 2014. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

43. Wang Yonghong (王永红), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 11 October 2014, currently detained at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

44. Sheng Lanfu (盛兰福), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

45. Xu Nailai (许乃来), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

46. Yu Wensheng (余文⽣), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 13 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 20 November, currently detained at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

47. Song Ze (宋泽), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 13 October 2014, currently detained at Daxing Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests on 30 September.

48. Hu Daliao (胡大料), female, detained at Daxing Detention Cenre in Beijing since 28 October 2014.

49. Zhang Xiuhua (张秀华), female, detained at Xicheng Detention Centre in Beijing since 7 October 2014

50. Li Lirong (李⽴荣), female, detained at Xicheng Detention Centre in Beijing on 7 October 2014. Released on bail.

51. Yang Qiuyu (杨秋⾬), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” at Xicheng Detention Centre in Beijing on 10 October 2014 for holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests. Released on bail on 19 November 2014.

52. Wang Yuqin (王玉琴), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” at Xicheng Detention Centre in Beijing on 10 October 2014 for holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests. Released on bail on 19 November 2014.

53. Ye Guoqiang (叶国强), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” at Xicheng Detention Centre in Beijing on 10 October 2014 for holding placards to support the Hong Kong protests. Released on bail on 19 November 2014.

54. Wang Jinling (王金玲), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 9 October 2014 at Chaoyang Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail.

55. Zhou Li (周莉), female, detained at Xicheng Detention Centre since 18 October 2014.

56. Zhai Yanmin (翟岩民), male, detained at Fengtai Detention Centre since 16 October 2014.

57. Ma Xinli (马新⽴), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 26 October 2014 at Chaoyang Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests on 25 October.

58. Chen Zhaozhi (陈兆志), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 26 October 2014 at Chaoyang Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests on 25 October.

59. Jia Xiping (贾西平), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 26 October 2014 at Chaoyang Detention Centre in Beijing. Took part in holding placards with slogans to support the Hong Kong protests on 25 October.

60. Li Xuehui (李学惠), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 14 October 2014 at Shijingshan Detention Centre in Beijing. Released on bail on 20 November.

61. Zhang Chao (张超), male, detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing since 30 October 2014.

62. Hu Junxiong (胡俊雄), male, detained at Fengtai Detention Centre in Beijing since 1 November  2014.

70. Wang Long (汪龙), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 28 September. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors, currently detained at Longgang Detention Centre in Shenzhen.

71. Xie Wenfei (谢⽂飞), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 3 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors, facing the charge of “inciting subversion”, currently detained at Yuexiu Detention Centre in Guangzhou.

72. Wang Mo (王默), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” since 3 October 2014. Formally arrested with approval from prosecutors on 11 November 2014, facing the charge of “inciting subversion”. Currently detained at Yuexiu Detention Centre in Guangzhou.

73. Sun Liyong (孙立勇), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 3 October 2014 at Yuexiu Detention Centre in Guangzhou. Released on bail on 3 November.

74. Zhang Shengyu (张圣⾬), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” at Yuexiu Detention Centre in Guangzhou.

75. Jia Pin (贾榀), male, detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 9 October 2014 at Nanhai Detention Centre in Fushan. Released on 7 November.

76. Sun Tao (孙涛), male, released on 20 November.

77. Chen Qitang (陈启棠), male, detained on 14 October 2014 and released on 25 October.

78. Ye Liumei (叶六妹), female, detained since 14 October 2014.

79. Liang Zhuosen (梁灼森), female, detained since 14 October 2014.

80. Guo Huizhen (郭惠珍), female, detained since 14 October 2014.

81. Liu Shasha (刘沙沙), female, briefly detained on 25 October, released.

82. Su Changlan (苏昌兰), female, detained since 27 October on suspicion of “inciting subversion of state power” at Naihai detention centre in Fushan.

83. Wang Yingguo (王应国), male, detained at Futian Detention Centre in Shenzhen since 3 November.

84. Xie Dan (谢丹), male, administratively detained at Chongqing No. 1 Detention Centre on 30 September 2014 for 10 days for “disturbing order in a public place”. Released after 10 days. 85. Luo Yaling (罗亚玲), female, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” on 30 September 2014 for holding placards with slogans supporting the Hong Kong protests. Released on bail on 30 October. 

86. Zhang Hao (张浩), male, summoned by police for 24 hours and released. Took part in holding placards with slogans supporting the Hong Kong protests.

87. Yang Xingwen (杨兴文), male, summoned by police for 24 hours and released. Took part in holding placards with slogans supporting the Hong Kong protests.

88. Hu Dehai (胡德海), male, summoned by police for 24 hours and released. Took part in holding placards with slogans supporting the Hong Kong protests.

89. Liu Donghui (刘东辉), male, criminally detained on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking trouble” on 12 October 2014 at Yueyang Changlian District Detention Centre in Hunan. Released on bail on 11 November.

90. Zhang Weishan (Zhang Ying) 张伟姗(张英), female, formally arrested with approvals from prosecutors. 

91. Xie Changzhen (谢长桢), male, administratively detained for 10 days.

92. Liu Xizhen (刘喜珍), female, detained on 2 October 2014, released on bail on 21 November.

93. Zheng Luying (郑禄英), female, detained on 2 October 2014, released. 

94. Chen Maosen (陈茂森), male, detained at Fengxin Detention Centre in Jiangxi on 12 October 2014. Released on bail on 19 November.

95. Ji Sizun (纪斯尊), male, administratively detained on 21 October 2014 for 10 days and turned to criminally detained.

96. Le Senping (乐森平), female, detained on 28 September 2014. Released.

97. Chen Jianfang (陈建芳), female, detained on 30 September 2014. Released.

98. Shen Yanqiu (沈艳秋), female, detained on 30 September 2014. Released

99. Lin Mingjie (林明杰), male, detained on 27 October 2014 at Shenyang Detention Centre. Under residential surveillance since 20 November.

100. Ye Haiyan (叶海燕), female, administratively detained for 10 days.

101. Sun Feng (孙峰), male, criminally detained on 16 November at Zibo Detention Centre on the suspicion of “inciting subversion”.

102. Wei Zhengxiang (魏正祥), male, Guizhou petitioner, detained on 10 Oct at Fengtai Detention Centre on "inciting disturbance"

103. Xu Meiying (许梅英) , female, petitioner, detained on an unknown date.

104. Lv Dongli (吕动⼒), male, detained on 11 Nov at Fengtai Detention Centre on "unlawfully holding documents"

105. Sun Feng (孙峰), male, detained on16 Nov at Zibo Detention Centre on the suspicion of “inciting subversion”.
