Welcome to www.amnesty.org.uk, the web site for Amnesty International UK. We are the UK section of Amnesty International, the international human rights membership organisation. Amnesty International UK also manage microsites, including our blog (http://blogs.amnesty.org.uk) and group sites (such as http://bristol.amnesty.org.uk).
For ease of use, www.amnesty.org.uk is divided into four main areas - What we do, What you can do, news and events and My Amnesty (the site members' area). You can find out about us in What we do, including information on our campaigns, our history and on working for Amnesty. In What you can do, you can get more involved with Amnesty by becoming a member, by taking action, by joining a group, and by raising funds or spending money in lots of different ways. The top level navigation menu appears on each page in the same position.
If you register you can use discussion boards, request email updates, get more involved with Amnesty through various kinds of activism and have access to profiled content through My Amnesty.
At http://blogs.amnesty.org.uk you can read blogs by the wider Amnesty community, including contributions from our press team, volunteers, our office in Belfast and the Mid-Warwickshire local group. You can also sign up to do your own.
Go to www.amnesty.org.uk/listgroups to find the website for your local group. Many of these sites are subdomains of www.amnesty.org.uk, and are maintained by local group members.
