Women's Action network

About the network

Celebrating the opening of the first safe house in Kenya to shelter girls threatened with female genital mutilation. Throughout the world, women are claiming the right to live free from the fear of violence and bringing hope to new generations of girls.Women all over the world are victims of abuse and inequality. But they are also community leaders, journalists, artists, lawyers and defenders of human rights. The Women's Action Network has been working since 1994 to support women under threat, highlight their bravery and end their suffering.
