How we can help

Protect the human badges and boxThe level of support we are able to provide depends on the scale of your event. The Community Fundraising Team deals with smaller community based events (concerts in small venues and collections, for example) and sponsored events.

Amnesty can provide:

We cannot guarantee, but will try to help whenever we can with:

  • permission to use our logo (restrictions apply)
  • a letter of authorisation from Amnesty International UK (to help you find a free/cheap venue, for example)
  • support with publicity
  • adding your event to our listings page
  • organising a speaker for the event
  • recruiting volunteers to help on the night

InviteWe are a small team and cannot provide this level of support for every event. As such, please provide as much notice as possible and provide detailed answers to the questions when you request event support online

Once we have your answers, we can assess your basic event plan and, if it seems feasible, issue a letter of agreement outlining the level of support we are able to provide.

Please note that at peak times of the year when there are lots of events on (during summer festival time, for example) it can be more difficult for us to provide additional support. The more notice you can give us the better the chance that we can help.

We are sorry that Amnesty can't:

  • provide financial support or get sponsorship for you, so please make sure you budget well
  • sell tickets for you
  • get celebrities to attend or perform at your events (we ask that you let Amnesty know before contacting celebrities yourself)
