Poverty and Human Rights
Available from September, this new resource pack explores the link between poverty and human rights through the case study of a slum community in Nairobi, Kenya. We are proud to announce the launch of Making Human Rights Real, our new KS4 resource for Northern Ireland. The book takes a human rights approach to the KS4 Citizenship curriculum and exam specification in Northern Ireland. It includes lesson plans and resources on 15 key human rights topics. More
Teacher Training in Northern Ireland
Amnesty is running two teacher training days at the RTU (Regional Training Unit) Summer School in Northern Ireland. The primary workshop explores whole school approaches to human rights. The post-primary workshop explores ideas and activities for teaching about human rights in KS4 Citizenship.
