2007 marks the bicentenary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade. Yet the global trade in people thrives and there is growing evidence of people being trafficked into Wales for sexual exploitation.
The UK government has signed the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking. This requires prompt action from the Welsh Assembly Government to ensure that the victims of trafficking get the support they need.
